Vita - Hotel & Event Centre

Vita is an adaptive reuse hotel and event destination that transforms the existing Algonquin Residence building into a contemporary space centered on “affordable luxury.” The design approach balances elevated visual impact with cost-conscious material strategies, creating a hospitality experience that feels refined, welcoming, and accessible.

The concept focuses on openness, light, and circulation, using height, natural light, and layered spatial transitions to redefine the original structure. Public areas are designed as social anchors within the building, with a strong emphasis on flexibility and programming. Key event spaces act as signature moments within the hotel, supporting conferences, celebrations, and community gatherings while generating operational value that helps sustain affordability.

Material selections prioritize durability and longevity while still achieving a high-end aesthetic through the use of cost-efficient finishes that emulate natural stone, wood, and plaster textures. Across guest rooms and public zones, the design supports comfort, accessibility, and intuitive wayfinding.

Vita reimagines the traditional hotel model by combining hospitality, event programming, and community engagement into one cohesive environment, positioning the building as both a destination and a functional, adaptable space for everyday use and special occasions.
